This safari or tour features the main highlights of Zimbabwe that is Victoria Falls, Hwange NP, Matopos NP, Great Zimbabwe Ruins, Eastern Highlands & Harare.
Day 1 - 2: Victoria Falls
On Arrival at Victoria Falls Airport you will be transferred to your hotel. Your 2 nights’ accommodation is in a River facing room at the A’Zambezi River Lodge, including breakfast daily. During these 2 days you will be provided with a guided tour of the falls including transfers, a Dinner Cruise on the Zambezi River including transfers, set-menu dinner & local beverage and one dinner and entertainment at the Boma Restaurant including transfers. You will also have a choice of an Elephant back Safari or a Lion walk or a 12/13 min helicopter flight over the falls.
Day 3 - 4: Hwange National Park
Depart after breakfast and drive to Hwange National Park. These 2 Nights you will stay at Ivory Lodge in the lofted chalets overlooking the floodlit waterhole. Included are all local beverages, all meals, 2 activities per day (game drives, game walks) and laundry.
Day 5 - 6: Matopos National Park
An optional early morning game drive is available before you are driven to the Matopos National Park a few kilometres drive from Bulawayo (The second largest city in Zimbabwe), popularly known as the City of Kings. 2 Nights at Big Cave Camp. Includes all meals, local drinks & activities (Rhino Tracking, Rhodes Grave Visit, Game Drives & Walks).
Day 7 - 8: Great Zimbabwe
Mid-morning departure from Matopos to the ruins of Great Zimbabwe – the capital of the Queen of Sheba, according to an age-old legend – are a unique testimony to the Bantu civilization of the Shona between the 11th and 15th centuries. The city was an important trading centre and renowned from the middle Ages onwards. 2 Nights accommodation at Norma Jeans Guest house on a full board basis with a full day guided tour of the ruins including lunch is available as you explore this world heritage site.
Day 9: Eastern Highlands
Depart after breakfast and head to the most beautiful area of Zimbabwe, the Eastern Highlands. You can make a stop at the famous Birchenough Bridge. Arrive at Musangano Lodge in time for lunch. Extra optional activities are available and can be booked directly at the lodge.
Day 10: Harare and Depart
Today you will have a relaxed scenic drive through the Eastern Highlands to Harare, the “Sunshine City”, capital of Harare. Spend your last night in the luxurious Meikles Hotel. You will be taken on a City Tour of Harare and a visit to one of the biggest and oldest markets in Zimbabwe, Mbare Musika.
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your departing flight marking an end to this amazing and magical Zimbabwe Safari.
